How do I become nominated for the Hall of Fame?

First, you may not nominate yourself. You may be nominated by anyone that is familiar and will attest to your personal contribution to the Community of Minor League and Adult Amateur Football. Ideally, this is someone who has directly benefitted from your involvement in the sport.

Where can I find a nomination form?

The form is actually a multipage document containing a description of all the Hall of Fame Categories along with a nomination form detailing the years of service to the Minor League and Adult Amateur Football Community as well as accomplishments you have achieved in football as well as the communities you serve outside football. You may obtain this document by emailing us at admin@minorleaguefootballnews.com. You will receive the document as a large PDF File in your email box. You should fill this doucment out fully if you are nominating someone, or have your nominator fill it out if you are the Nominee for the Minor League Football Hall of Fame. Following the instructions you will see the email address to return it to or you may fax it to 888.311.5699.

Who may nominate me ?

You may be nominated by anyone that is familiar and will attest to your personal contribution to the Community of Minor League and Adult Amateur Football. Ideally, this is someone who has directly benefitted from your involvement in the sport. This person is generally a fellow athlete, fellow coach, or someone connected with your team or league. It may also be a current member of the Minor League Football Hall of Fame.

Who may I nominate ?

As a member of the Minor League and Adult Amateur Football Community, you may nominate someone who has met the general requirements for nomination. Please see our webpage titled Nominations to the left hand vertical menue of this webpage for details on those general requirements. Once those have been met, you may nominate anyone you feel is deserving by having made long-term and significant contributions to the Minor League and Adult Amateur Football Community.

What is the slection process?

Once a nomination is received, it is checked for completness and accuracy. Then it is forwarded, along with other nominations, several times during the year to our Selection Committeee. The Selection Committee reviews each nomination and, if the nomination is complete and accurate, a the name of the noinee is added to a Ballot. In September of each year the Selection Committee votes upon each nominee who is included in the ballot. Those Nominees who are voted in by the Selection Committee are notified of the Selection and the Induction will take place each year in December.

When is the Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and Annual Awards Ceremony ?

This annual event is generally held each year during the first weekend of December or that weekend that follows Thanksgiving. This year, the events are held the weekend of December 3-5, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. For more information please email us at admin@minorleaguefootballnews.com.
